Many have said that this product did not work or was too harsh.
But, many of you must have been doing an internal cleanse for the first time, and if this is the case you are
starting off with a product that is WAY too strong.
You should first start with the introduction fomula, FIRST CLEANSE. (Which is made by the same company)
CLEANSE SMART should only be used if you have done a internal cleanse before. Otherwise, you get all of the problems everyone has discribed in these reviews

This product purges toxins from different areas of the body and sends them straight to the intestines to be removed giving your intestines even more stuff that needs to be eliminated. This kit does not contain a fiber supplement and you really must use one to keep the toxins moving on out and not being re-absorbed and to avoid constipation. I personally think it should be sold with fiber but that’s just my opinion. Even if you are going to the bathroom twice per day you should use a fiber supplement and drink lots of water during any detox to assist with speedy and complete removal of what was purged from other organs. This will also reduce constipation, cramping, etc. Detox is not pretty or easy and the worse you are the harder the detox, if you are complaining loudly about the detox you probably need it most!

1. Start on a thursday.
2. Follow the instructions very carefully.
3. Take bio-k fruit flavor in the am(you find this in whole foods market or online).
It is a probiotic that has 50 billion live cultures in one serving!! This product is amazing!!

I am taking this product as my first herbal cleanse. It should be noted that I have been working on my diet for over a year now, eating only cultured dairy products, less cheese, less gluten (my wife is allergic), drinking more water, and much much less sugar. I’m taking the powdered flax fiber mix once a day, as well as about three or four times as much water as I normally drink. I haven’t drank alcohol for three years.
I’m very happy with the results so far. I’ve never been so regular, to memory. I went from having bowel movements every three to four days, to having one or two every day. My bowel movements smell a LOT worse, which I’m taking as a good sign that some serious junk is getting flushed out. It’s been about 10 days since I started, and I don’t have any negative side-effects, except for a stronger urgency to use the bathroom when it’s time. I’m only curious if I will stay regular after I stop taking the cleanse. I hope so.

As the most positive, detailed reviews state, this is NOT the product you want if you want to take a pill and feel no effects or make no changes in your habits or lifestyle. However, isn’t that why we want to accomplish a cleanse? When I was younger, I didn’t see the point of such products, nor did I credit the excitement some of my acquaintances reported regarding various cleansing techniques. However, now that I am older and have been dealing with some complaints, I thought I would give FirstCleanse a try. It worked well, and I saw positive changes in my skin and digestion almost immediately.
So then I got this product, and the results continued. I have lost weight, too, without much change in my habits. Yes, I did have to take a little care. But fixing decades of damage can’t be done overnight.
Since I was going through a job change, I took only one pill – and thus got two months of help for one. Am sure it’s not the optimal way to take it; but I concur that if you feel the changes are happening too fast, this is an alternative.
I will soon be buying again, and am looking forward to more weight loss and more improved health.

I’m half way through this month long cleanse, and I’m still pretty sick to my stomach…maybe not every day, but just about. The evening pills make the next morning quite interesting! You spend about half the morning on the toliet, which makes it hard to get anything done. So at least I know that it’s cleaning something out! I don’t feel like I’ve gained anymore energy or anything, sometimes I even feel more sluggish because it takes a lot out of you.

I have read all the reviews here. I have been using these cleanses for over 5 years. Just some suggestions….there is a document provided with each cleanse(in the box) follow the diet suggestions and also the dosage intake variance suggestions. Different folk’s metabolisms react differently. Also understand, depending on the amount of toxins evoked (if you have a real cruddy system), you are sure to experience discomfort in various forms as the pollutants are reintroduced back into your system for evacuation. Kind of like stirring up a wasp nest. In short, the worse you feel probably is a sign that you are doing your body a great service as you cleanse. So slow down the re introduction of these pollutants into your system by reducing your dosages. Spread it out a little over time until you can gradually increase back to the prescribed daily amounts to complete your cleanse. Common sense folks!

I tried this product based on what most of the other reviewers said. I used the cleanse smart along with the oil smart and the fiber smart as reccomended, however, it didn’t do anything. I too felt bloated, constipated and anxious waiting to go. Don’t use this product. It actually makes you feel worse than before using it.

I can’t believe how stupid some of the commenters are, and I commend those of you who have pointed out the obvious. Releasing toxins (detoxifying) involves some discomfort and breakouts, including rashes, pimples, colds etc. Most North Americans have appalling diets and one can’t reverse years of poor eating habits overnight or even in 30 days. I have done numerous cleanses over the years and the key is MODERATION. Start gradually (like the instructions recommend) and prepare yourself before you start CleanseSmart or any program with an altered diet for two weeks or a month first. Eliminate dairy and factory-farmed meats (switch to organic chicken, turkey), and eliminate all junk food and refined carbohydrates and eat lots of varied fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts (organic if you can get them). Drink plenty of filtered clean water. Exercise moderately, and if you can do some infra-red sauna treatments.
If a person is intent on eating the same old food they’ve always eaten (factory-farm dairy and meat products, junk food, sugar, and other refined carbohydrates, with a token helping of fresh fruits and vegetables) they will get no benefit and may as well not even bother. This is doubly true for people who smoke. The idea is to make a change.
Yes you may get a cold, yes you may get pimples, or a rash or find a pre-existing condition worsen for a time. This is part of the cleansing process. If you find yourself cleansing too fast or too hard, reduce your intake of pills or stop them altogether (like the instructions also say) until you’re ready. Best bet is to change your diet for the better. Do that and you will change your life.
P.S. If you are very toxic, you might want to see a naturopath who has the medical training to guide you through a cleanse.

how to avoid diarrhea

Miteyoak, thank you for your expertise and detailed instructions. One thing to modify…. CleanseSmart is not intended to give you diarrhea. It even says on the package, “Do not use PM pills if you have or develop abdominal pain, diarrhea, or loose stools.” The goal is to have two soft bowel movements per day. I already had that before starting the cleanse, so I used the AM pills by themselves. When I get constipated, I take fiber: Metamucil free and clear, which is 100% inulin. (I can’t take RenewLife fiber because I’m allergic to oat grass.) Last night, on my 20th day of CleanseSmart, I took one PM pill; I sure regretted it this morning. PM pills are super-laxatives.
With CleanseSmart, I drink lots of water, eat organic, use natural soaps and lotions, and brush my skin just before my hot baths. Dry skin brushing works wonders; it permanently softens your skin, and it allows more toxins to be removed through your skin when you sweat. Fiber, sweating, and dry skin brushing are very important to assist cleansing, as described in the book “Detox Strategy” by Brenda Watson, developer of RenewLife.

I tried this after reading up about all the products available for cleansing and used it for 30 days. I loved it. I felt better, had energy and no more constipation…. after that I thought I would try another one so I went back on line and researched the one rated number one, which is colonix. I bought it and paid $90.00 for a 30 day supply. I am on day 17 and I hate it. it doesnt work, I am gastroentestinally worst off than I was before I used anything, I had a reaction and my skin turned bright red and raised and burning then it changed the PH of my body and caused all other sorts of issues…… I know not everyone is the same, and I know a large number of individuals were helped and Love colonix, but for me I am going to stick with cleansesmart

Effective…For The Most Part

I finally decided to try this product after feeling the need to de-toxify my body. Did it work? Well, it didn’t not work.
I used CleanseSmart in conjunction with FiberSmart, as recommended (and it’s a lot of pills to take in a day). I didn’t experience any diarrhea and definitely had more output than normal, which I considered a good thing. This product didn’t do anything for my skin. In fact, and I don’t neccesarily blame CleanseSmart, I’ve been breaking out in the last month more than I’ve broken out in ten years. Perhaps just an odd coincidence.
I wish I could say I found the boost in energy I’d been looking for, but this product pretty much ensured that for eveything I put in my body, as much as possible came out. In that sense, it did its job. However, I’m not so sure a fiber supplement or foods high in fiber might not do the same thing.

I used this product according to how miteyoak reviewed it. At first, there was nothing. Then i added two digestive enzymes–digest by enzymedica. I was told to try megazymes as it is plant based or something like that and should work better with every meal for about 1 adn 1/2 weeks and boom my system kicked into action. I began to have movements at least twice a day. It seems to have encouraged my system to work a little better. Before i would have 1 or 2 movements aweek and now i have at least one or two a day. I am looking forward to having a colonic now but i think i will do a candida cleanse.

I followed the directions and this product worked. It was a couple years ago, and I have been thinking of doing another. Here is what I noticed: larger (much larger) bowel movements. This did not take long. Also I got rid of my lactose intolerance. Since doing the cleanse, I have become progressively more of a health nut. If a friend told you that a colon cleanse is a good idea, I fully concur. I have not compared versus other products though, so you might want to read reviews on other products. Good luck!
